WILDWOOD SPRINGS HOTEL STARTED MONDAY
extracted from the Crawford Weekly Mirror Jan. 19, 1922

Wildwood Springs Hostelry Will Be Of Strictly Modern Type.

On Monday, Jan.16, R. H. Hummel, the contractor, started laying out the hotel building of Wildwood Springs and informs us that all efforts will be made to complete same by June 1, 1922. The building will consist of two stores and basement and when complete will be a magnificent, commodious and strictly modern resort hostelry.

The basement will consist of a kitchen 32 1/2 feet by 311/2 feet, a store room 32 1/2 feet by 10 feet, with a 6 by 12 foot refrigerator, and two rooms for servants' quarter, equipped with showers, toilets and lavatories, each room 32 1/2 by 12 feet.

The ground or first floor will consist of 18 guest rooms, with showers, lavatories and all modern electrical fixtures, men and women toilets, office, cloak room, serving and dining room. The dining room will be large enough to serve 400 people at one sitting. All of the doors and windows of the dining room will be of the French type, thereby giving ample air, light and view to the hotel surroundings. On this same floor will be the main lobby 71 by 58 feet, with fireplace 10 feet wide made of native stone. There will be four steel pillers in the lobby which support the second floor balcony. There will be two 5 foot main stairs from the lobby to the balcony.

The second floor will consist of 37 guest rooms, 6 of which will be bridal chambers. All of the rooms will be equipped the same as the guest rooms on the first floor. There will be two linen rooms and two corridors to guest rooms. Also a large balcony which forms around an open rotunda 25 feet square, the light shaft of which is illuminated by an amber skylight.
